Aquarian Light - Ep 10 - Wheels of Automation
Play video below. You can read along with the transcript under the video.
Without having an inner sense of expansion, we can find ourselves chasing, chasing, ever chasing, unable to observe our situation from a meta level. If we could just stop for one moment to contemplate, perhaps there would open, a small gateway, providing insights into the nature of existence. Yes, the world, people and history itself are all running on autopilot, including you. We do not understand that unseen forces guide 97% of decisions, energetic social movements and the very defining moments of history. In this talk, we look at the two main layers of automation which the seeker must become increasingly and profoundly aware of, in order to begin to loosen the fetters which keep him sunken within illusion. First, we have to see the illusion, then we may have the chance to consciously choose freedom.
AQUARIAN LIGHT - EPISODE 10
The Wheels of Automation
Instructor I:
Hello and welcome to another episode of Aquarian Light. Today's episode is called the wheels of automation. Perhaps you've noticed that certain aspects of life seem to be a bit of a groundhog day. Maybe you go to work or you go to the gym and you have the same kinds of interactions. You talk about the weather. The same people annoy you in traffic. Everything seems a little bit on repeat, we can say. And maybe you've noticed that there are other aspects of life that seem to be almost like a larger wheel of samsara. We see this in the seasons. We see this in the rise and fall of civilizations. And maybe we wonder; how far does this automation go? And what do we have to do? What level do we have to get to to break free of this automation?
In the past, we talked about The Matrix and how when Neo breaks out of the matrix, there's another level of the machine world and he finds he can use his powers. But the world is still a machine world. It's still a matrix. It still has a kind of illusion to it where when he understands the illusion, he begins to have the capacity to bend reality. So if the first level is an illusion and has its form of automation, and the second level has its automation, where does it end and how can we apply this in the universe in our experience?
So I guess the first thing that we have to ask is; where does this automation come from? How far does it go?
Instructor II:
Yeah. We'll look both at the inner psychological aspects of these wheels of this automation, (let's say internally as we know in the esoteric sense), and we'll also take a look at how it manifests externally. We know that the collective is a reflection of our own internal state, our own internal state as a unity. So not just me, myself or Ruth here, but all of us. The things that happen externally in the universe are actually a reflection of our internal state as a collective.
But first, let's talk about the internal state and how this affects us in multiple layers; how we keep ourselves asleep and unconscious in these things. Those of you who are familiar with tarot might know that the 10th card is the wheel of fortune. And in a sense, for divination purposes, it's usually a positive thing. But there's a deeper esoteric meaning to that. The wheel represents a certain conditioning (the wheel of samsara as Ruth mentioned) and it's our psychology that keeps us in tuned in the reality that we're in, in the third dimension. But as we'll get into later as well, there's layers of reality, and then layers of conditioning that go beyond that. There's layers of conditioning all the way back up to source. So as long as there's separation, there really isn't unity, and as long as there's separation, then there's some sort of conditioning.
One of the things that we see a lot as we progress on the path, is that some people may make some progress, and then think they've figured everything out, then move on to a place where they develop prideful associations with the work that they've done or the system that they follow and then actually end up taking themselves off the path and falling back asleep into mystical pride. Which is one of the main themes we talk about on this podcast all the way going back to episode one, and the dangers and the pitfalls of mystical pride.
If we replace our internal listening to our inner divinity, with our listening to an ego who's posing as our inner divinity, we can veer from the path (the middle path, the middle way) that is talked about in all the ancient traditions. Probably for those of us who have had any semblance of awakening and started to work on this path, mystical pride really is one of the biggest dangers and pitfalls, which ties really well into the theme of today's episode.
Instructor I:
I think It would be good to define a few things for the listeners if they are either new to spiritual studies or esotericism. So for example, when we say “path”, we mean that someone is taking steps to do a kind of inner work based on the spiritual studies that they are applying. And this can differ from person to person. It's very important to understand that there is no set prescribed method that applies across the board to all of those who are undertaking a spiritual journey. There simply isn't. There are so many different schools and traditions, as well as those who don't follow traditions. And it is kind of like a labyrinth or a quagmire.
The seeker has to find their own way. And so this is an important point; when we say “path”, we mean that the individual is going on something of a hero's journey to discover, or to grow in the way that is right for them. And so the way that they progress is unique to the individual. If you are taken off the path, another way we can understand that is we are moving further away from our inner alignment with that aspect of us that is true and authentic.
And the other things we need to define are “ego” and “pride”. So when we say pride, generally we think of arrogance or superiority. But in deeper philosophy and esoteric studies we say that pride is a sense of separation from unity and this can manifest in many different ways; it's a sense of self that doesn't see that we are all one.
Also, there is the term, “ego”. Ego of mystical pride can confuse us in spirituality. Ego is really a structure, an illusory energetic structure, that stops us from seeing objectively from seeing clearly. Usually it is tied to either insecurity, superiority or some kind of fear. And again it is a a sense of being away from source, away from connectedness, away from divine love and that sense of groundedness and purpose and inner knowing.
Instructor II:
Yeah, I would say pride as you touched on, the best way to really explain it is like you said; when we think of it in religious (or surface-level) terms, we think of humility as being meek and humble, and that pride is arrogance or being full of oneself. But actually, pride is the false sense of self in itself. It's the desire to be something separate.
If we look at it in the sense of “there is a unity and we all are objectively one being, one hive mind, at the highest level, most meta level,” then our desire to be separate and to be an individual is our pride. It's a false sense of self. (Relatively, we are separate and we all are doing missions which doesn't mean that the things that are in between us don't matter.)
When we look at virtues, virtues tend to be the absence of the ego that they're related to. Humility, let's say, is the absence of pride. So instead of it being just “meekness” or being “shy and quiet”, what it is, is understanding that our false sense of self is an illusion. In that sense, that means that things like insecurity or self-doubt are actually the inverse of pride. They're actually egos of pride. So that's a good thing to touch into.
The other thing too is that technically everyone is on the path whether we're taking spiritual moves or not, since we are all one being experiencing every point of its descent and ascent, into itself and back out, and extracting wisdom. Even those who aren't into spirituality are technically following their path based on whatever internal authority that they have as well, and it might be to have no interest and to just be someone who [in this lifetime] wants to simply go through experiencing the illusion.
But when we are also referring to the path, it's not simply just in a spiritual sense, (looking at the point of every religion) it is not simply just to awaken, but to find freedom, liberation, salvation; these types of things to awaken from the matrix or to unplug from the matrix. Jesus of Nazareth talked about the path being called the “Path of the Razor's Edge”; being straight and narrow and that there was one of them.
There are many other paths in a sense as well. We could say there's one path or that there's many. This relates to “mission” and “purpose” which we've talked about before in this podcast. “Purpose”, being the same for everyone, which is our purpose to awaken the consciousness and help others awaken that want help from us. But our “mission” is our unique expression since everyone has a unique expression of that purpose externally. And that's why I say even in a sense for those who aren't walking a spiritual path, it could be their mission to provide a certain type of energy to the construct so that the construct works to help the others that are on the path of ascension. But, “mission” can look like many different paths subjectively.
This is why we have religions and things of that nature that are subjectively different, but at the root of it, the same truth is coming down through all of it. So it's still that one path and if we find that freedom, liberation or salvation that's at the end of the tunnel, then what we see is that we are able to encompass all vibrations, all frequencies, all paths as being the same, which comes at a level of comprehension and understanding.
Instructor I:
For the sticklers, just in case, Jesus was the one who said that the path is “straight and narrow”. And there was a master and esoteric teacher, Samael Aun Weor, who talked about the “Path of the Razor's Edge.” These were two initiates (or those in mystery schools and sciences) who use different ways of saying the same thing.
But you mentioned religion and I think this is a really interesting segue into these “wheels of automation,” because we understand that on a mundane level, we have our habits and we have our internal defects. Let's say we have a sense of inferiority and we pass up opportunities to take responsibility, to show leadership or to help out in our community, to make certain moves that might be more aligned for us, our purpose and our mission. And we allow these situations to pass us by because of some kind of internal fear or a belief in unworthiness, some kind of self-doubt. This is one kind of wheel. It's one kind of pattern.
And for those who begin to observe themselves, they may see this pattern in themselves. And in a way, the manifestation of this internal state of the psyche is a little bit micro, right? So the individual sees that they're always finding themselves in similar situations and then they start to sound like a broken record when they say, "Why does this always happen to me? I'm never the chosen one," and they don't see that this is coming from something inside of themselves. So this is one kind of this “wheel of automation”.
Now if we zoom out, there are larger wheels at play, things that go on in society, in different groups like religion or politics where you have this larger mechanical-type of thinking, where people fall into certain categories. And once someone finds themself in that category, they become locked into that and they all think a certain way. But they think that they're special or unique in their views, not realizing that they've joined a category of a certain perspective, and the influences that cause this are maybe unknown to the person. So they think that their views, their actions, and their impulses are very original to them and they don't see how this is simply another mechanical wheel. How does this come about and how does this play out in the world; these kinds of bigger wheels?
Instructor II:
First let's go over the psychology of the two layers of this reality that we're in. So, there may be many more layers that get more subtle as we go out even beyond the unity that we consider as the solar system (the Adam Kadmon), but for all intents and purposes, let's say that unity means everyone on this planet. Everyone in our solar system. We will not talk about other galaxies and things of that nature. So what's keeping us from the unity that we could experience (between all the beings that we are aware of) in our surroundings; there's two layers…
The first is what every religion alludes to; our own desire to not only be this person that we are (this illusory person / identification with the person that we are) rather than our spirit, but there are also the material desires that we use to feed this sense of self and that image. Be that lust, greed, or anger; these types of things that are related to the animal ego of our human person. We think of ourselves as much more advanced than the animals but outside of having the ability of logic and reasoning of the lower intellect, we still work much off animal instincts and things of that nature.
This is the first thing when we talk about someone who's asleep and unconscious. We look at the majority of the planet today which is not into spiritual advancement; they're still trapped in that [animal / unconscious] mind. That's the first layer. For example, the drive to have the house with the white picket fence, two children, etc. Not that there's anything wrong with that if that's what the person is meant to do in their incarnation, but it is an illusion and it's within that wheel of samsara that is talked about in the Eastern traditions. We live a life like that, we don't realize ourselves and we live this mechanical robotic life.
And then what happens is when we die and didn't learn what we were supposed to learn, we return again. (We don't want to confuse this with reincarnation, reincarnation in an esoteric sense is when a master, bodhicitta, etc, chooses to incarnate again, for reasons such as a mission or to gain more wisdom. It's a conscious decision.) Return is more along the lines of, as soon as we die, we're put into another body and then we're reliving the same events, but maybe in a different time period, in a different life and from a different perspective. The person that we're born into won't be the same, but the same type of karmic events will reoccur. And we'll keep doing this over lifetime to lifetime until we actually pass the tests that are given to us by our higher self.
Our higher self chooses for us to come here to learn something and this cycle is meant for us to transcend these events eventually. But we become identified with the person that we are and we don't understand what the purpose of the false sense of self is. We actually think we are the false sense of self and so we get trapped in this cycle.
Instructor I:
There's so many examples of the return and when people are repeating a lot of events. Before this, I just wanted to define two things. You mentioned Adam Kadmon, and those who are studying spirituality might have heard this term, but if you're new, basically it's a reference to the idea that the unity or the larger zoomed-out aspect of the universe, is a larger being. It doesn't necessarily need to have two eyes and a nose and hands, though we could anthropomorphize it like that. It's something larger that is also alive that we are part of, in the same way that we have individual cells, atoms, organs and systems inside of our body which are also an alive part of us, but our awareness is not necessarily inside of those individual parts. So that's what the Adam Kadmon is in this case.
Instructor II:
I believe that the Adam Kadmon would be our solar system. So if we are like the neurons or the egos of the planet, then the planet is that for the solar system. And the entire solar system is Adam Kadmon, but not necessarily the whole universe. But in the sense of it coming from the Qabalah, it’s this concept of this unity that's related to our sun, which is the center of our solar system, and that's in the Zohar I believe.
Instructor I:
One of the best examples of that is the end of “Men In Black, Part One,” where as we zoom out it's just something larger that's alive. I think that's the easiest way to understand it.
But the second thing I wanted to touch on as well was spiritual progress, because it can be confused easily where those who are studying spirituality then apply some type of ambition or a sense of need to get from A to B, and therefore to not be present, to not be in acceptance or to feel that until we get to the end that we have failed. And I just wanted to clarify that we say that colloquially to mean that we're going on a journey but not necessarily to say that we cannot be present with the moment. We know that the present moment is exactly how it should be and it's perfect as it is, because otherwise we wouldn't be learning anything, right? We'd still be stuck in another kind of rat race with spiritual terms.
In demonstrating how the mechanicity works in terms of our psychological aggregates; we call these “egos.” Egos are the different internal patterns that have desires. We can say they're like an energetic structure that the soul/ the essence/ the eternal energy/ consciousness energy that we are, that is inhabiting these bodies, creates these different patterns and these patterns then come into the physical vehicle and play out their objectives. And because someone is unconscious, this means that they will continue to run these programs in life after life, repeating the same dramas.
So for example, let's say that there was a couple that got married at age 30 and then they had some relationship trouble, and then had some big event that caused the marriage to break down at age 45. Then, maybe these two individuals would find each other in the next life and some of the details of the events might change. However, the main points; when they met, when they got married, and when they had some big disaster that caused them to separate, would all happen at the same time. And when these two people would meet, they would feel some strange uncanny sense such as, “I feel like I've known you my whole life.” And the reason for that is because it could have been many, many lives that they had been together. And so they hit it off straight away when they meet. And then the issues that they had in the past life, maybe they were always fighting, there was a lot of resentment, these kinds of things. If those egos are not comprehended and dissolved then all of those same dramas will repeat.
Another example could be that someone may have worked in a particular industry. Let's say they were a doctor and they studied a lot and they were involved in medicine and even if in their next incarnation they weren't born into a family of doctors, this person might feel a strong pull like “I have to study medicine” and then find they have a great affinity for it. When they study it, they learn everything very quickly. Maybe the medical school is different. It's in a different country, but everything seems very familiar and easy. And this person says, "I don't know what it is inside me, but I'm just so passionate about medicine." And they become a doctor. They don't realize that they've been a doctor for life after life after life. And we might say, "Oh, there's nothing wrong with that." And that's true. In a way, all of these experiences are there for us to learn something and to see what our patterns are. There are other patterns that can be more of a more destructive nature…
We'll take a more extreme example; two people are involved in some kind of a crime and one is a victim and the other is the perpetrator. What often can happen is at the correct age when this previous drama played out, those two beings (that are now reborn into the same egos and similar kinds of situations at the right time when this original crime took place) will find each other out and they'll repeat this drama. And if they're completely unconscious, they won't be aware of the things that are arising within them, whether it's anger or some kind of impulse to go down a certain alleyway where this drama is going to repeat. And they might take turns as well where one will be the victim, one will be the perpetrator, and then the next life they need to settle the score. So they'll swap these roles.
But unfortunately, instead of settling the score, and because they have the same egos, they'll continue to swap roles back and forth, life after life. And the only way that they'll be able to get out of this would be if at some point one of the perpetrators was able to observe those mechanisms inside of themself. And as the anger or drive to commit violence was about to arise, if they were able to see it and able to prevent this event from taking place, then they would be able to break this recurrence.
Instructor II:
Those are good examples of recurrence. And you jumped the gun a little bit because I actually needed that example for when we were going to talk about the karma and the dharma for the next layer. But I actually meant the near-death-experiences (NDEs) about return. We're talking about return and reincarnation.
Instructor I:
Yes. So, if we're talking about near-death experiences, these are examples that demonstrate that “life after life” we can say is a real phenomena. There was a doctor named Dr. Moody who did an extensive study on this and maybe those in spirituality would be familiar with this. What he did is that he really wanted to study what happens after we die. But to apply the scientific method there are some challenges; how do we look at or observe (which is a step in the scientific method) what happens after we die? So Dr. Moody's method was to go and interview patients that had been clinically dead for a period of time. These patients may have been dead for one minute or 2 minutes, then had been able to be resuscitated or revived. So when this doctor was able to find these individuals, he would ask them if they wanted to talk about their experiences. And for a lot of these people who had an experience during the time period they were clinically dead, they were afraid to share their stories. Or they tried to share the story of what happened with the medical team that was looking after them in the hospital and they were either laughed at or maybe they weren't taken seriously and they became afraid to share what they had experienced.
And you might be thinking, okay, well, if he interviews these people, then someone could just make up a story. And that's right. So the method that he used was to take a very, very wide range of these NDE experiencers and he picked them from different cultures, different countries, different backgrounds and he interviewed extensively. Now let's say 10% or 20% of them decided to make up a story. What he looked for was the common threads across all the stories. These individuals had no way to corroborate and to decide “this is the story we're going to tell”. So once you can see commonalities across these stories, then you know that perhaps there's something there. So this doctor compiled a list of different aspects of these stories that were true across all of these recounts. And one of the most famous things was the tunnel of light.
We know in the movie Ghost, it was made to demonstrate a lot of these findings about life after life, after this research came out. So the tunnel of light was one of them where the beings that experienced this, at first, felt a sense of floating. Maybe they began to leave the scene. They looked back at their body and it looked very rugged and in poor shape and they didn't want to go back. They were very happy to leave their body and they began to naturally float up and go to a tunnel of light.
The other common thing in these stories was that these people who died then encountered someone. This was common; however, the subjective part that differed across the stories was who that someone was. So some of these individuals said they met Buddha. Others said they met Jesus. Others said they met angels. So we can see the subjectivity in these stories where whoever they met, maybe it was a ball of light, they gave it a name according to their beliefs but they met someone and this someone did a review of their life. So this was another commonality across the stories and the list goes on.
There were many other things but just one of many of these stories that helped prove that these were genuine recounts was one woman who was being operated on, who passed away during the operation. The doctors declared that she was clinically dead, and she claims she remembered floating out of her body. As she began to float up out of the hospital, she was looking back at the room in the hallway where she had come from and there was a window ledge with a green surgical glove on it. As she was floating away, the doctors of course were trying to bring her back and they were successful. Suddenly she was drawn back to her body and the experience ended.
Then she tried to tell the medical team what had happened, that she had seen them all saying that she had passed away and she began to leave the hospital. So she was testifying that “yes, it's true, I left my body and I was still aware.” And of course they laughed at her. So she said, "Well, if you don't believe me, how do I know this? Then go upstairs and look on that window ledge above where I was being operated on and find that green surgical glove because there's no way I could know that." And of course, it was found. And there were many, many other stories like this where the person had knowledge of something there was no way for them to know unless their story was true.
Instructor II:
And that's also if they have awareness, right? There's also accounts of people who weren't conscious enough to even remember their near-death experience. Wasn't there one guy that said he was immediately thrown into another womb and it freaked him out? Then he was resuscitated and pulled back, but he was already a baby, and it was that quick just going through. So, that's the difference. If we don't have the consciousness to leave and then choose to come back, then we don't have a choice. If our circumstances are reviewed and we haven't learned our lessons, then we're just sent right back into another body.
And that's what we usually come to think of as the matrix, in a sense that there are more layers to reality, and it’s what we're trying to get to. So, in the psychology of the matrix itself, I don't know if anybody's ever seen the meme with Plato's cave, but you come out of Plato's cave into another Plato's cave before you actually get out. Or in the movie, The Matrix, Neo is still able to use his powers outside in the machine world, which represents the fifth dimension. And he realizes that there's still some type of illusion and there's still something to that. That's what it represents. There is another layer of reality…
And when we look at the [Ancient] scriptures, we know of beings (angels, devas, aliens, etc., or in modern terminology, we call them ET’s…) that live in the superior dimensions. But these beings are still separate and still living at some level of subjectivity. They are superior to us in the physical sense, but still trapped within the illusion of the construct. As said in The Secret Doctrine, by Helena Blavatzki, these beings are not perfect and not “gods that created us”, however, they are not unconscious like us. So they are still trapped in the illusion but it's more of a procedural thing and they operate almost sort of like a military or a hierarchy. Also Master Samael Aun Weor in The Gnostic Doctrine, calls it a salvation army.
So to some extent, we know that these beings (in our perception of this universe) are all-knowing in the universe, similar to when you connect to your higher self. Like connecting to the higher knowledge, the Akashic records, you can see anything in any time in space within the illusory universe. So to that extent, they're way more conscious than us and they are awake in a sense, and they have a connection to divinity, but at that layer they're still not at the unity. They can't go to the unity.
So with some discernment, when we look at it, we know that the unity is freedom, liberation and salvation. This is what all the masters talk about. There's something along those lines, like this idea of a hive-like being or a hierarchy/military type of mentality that there's something to go along with these procedures and these rules that have to be followed that keeps that spirit still from going into the unity and still trapped at the most subtle layer of the illusion of the Maya.
So with that being said, when we think of this other layer to our psychology that keeps us entrapped, well, then we can move past desire, we can move past our own person, and put our false sense of self to the side, realizing we're inferior and that we need this help from a being, master, or an angel to help us. We talked earlier about how pride is both arrogance and inferiority. So often when we get onto these spiritual or religious paths, we are giving our autonomy to our higher self, (and all of us have a higher self). We unfold down through these cosmic principles.
We've talked about how the planet and the populations living on the planet are related to that planet which is then related to the being that is the solar system. Well these beings that are archangels, angels, devas, whatever you want to call them are related to the souls of planets and things of that nature. The stars, the sun itself, etc; these are very evolved higher beings. So, in that sense, externally if we give our subservience and we dedicate ourselves to our higher aspect (which is, let’s say, related to some cosmic principle that's really powerful) then yes we've thrown away our person but we still don't truly understand pride because we're saying, “well I'm not something but my higher self, which is a higher aspect of myself,” well, that is something, and as long as we think that there is something, then there's a subtle sense of pride there.
And we see this come along in the systems that we have in society. If we move along with this psychology, we have this desire to want to follow something, and for it to work, because our mind doesn't like the abstract. Our mind doesn't like the fact that everyone has to find their own way to the understanding of reality. So we humble ourselves in our understanding of how we think humility is in our mind, and then we try to just follow something literally or we want a formula. We want a procedure. And to an extent, the beings in that level. (Like I said, we all come down through that spirit whether someone's comprehension has awakened to a higher level or not, we've awakened to that level.)
There's a line in the Pistis Sophia, (which is a a Gnostic text, said to be found in the middle ages and had been written by Jesus, and was kept secret, a sermon from Jesus on the mount) that says “Let the kings be kings and the slaves be slaves”. What we have to understand is that there's a lot of fear in the new age community mentioning that these aliens or angels are holding us down. There's even things in ancient mythologies that there are gods, angels, aliens, etc., that created religion to get us to worship them and be subservient to them.
But the point is that everything is always subjective… For example, when we look at the truth objectively, everything is “right” based on our point of view. And what we start to see is that it really is our level of understanding and our psychology that changes us from being a king to a slave. It's not what these beings are doing that are at their stage of development. They're basically the programs that keep the solar system running. If we think of how we have egos within ourselves, to an extent, then they're at the stage where they're an ego for the solar system.
In The Matrix, they show this concept of programs; you have the Merovingian who lives by just messing with people on cause and effect. Well where do these beings exist in our actual reality? They're beyond our physical matrix and they reside in the causal plane or the Buddhic plane, in this area where they are free from desire. But, they're still a slave to this karma & dharma which we all relatively have to work with, just like we have to work with any form of duality. We're here in this construct (which also at a higher meta level, karma and dharma is also an illusion).
So to an extent, to be strictly and stringently bound to this, is still to be attached to something. And to that extent, this might be why there's some type of hard hierarchy with these beings and why they operate the way that they do and have to follow these internal rules, because at the level of their spirit they have yet to connect to something beyond that. They do not have comprehension of how to navigate it in a relative way as opposed to just following this because that's their comprehension of it. The point is that they're there, right? And there's a stage of development. It’s been said that it takes many universes. Everybody's going up a spiral.
Everyone started as plants and stones, right? So these processes in the beginning of the journey go over a very, very long time and the universe expands. It contracts, expands, contracts, and so forth. We're eternal beings; we do not die. So every time we come back, we gain more wisdom. But at this level of development, (beyond the original spiral of coming up the animal or plant kingdoms,) maybe you've lived as an astral being, or lived as some other things that are in the middle. Then you go into the spiral of your spirit. And we're talking about your spirit. All of us are incarnated here in these bodies, which is what makes it so difficult.
You could be sitting next to someone who's in an early stage and they've never even completed the spiritual path once and they're just a regular person still living the experience of, let’s say, being a mailman or something. And that's okay, that's where they're at in their journey. And then meanwhile another person might be the incarnation of an angelic being, so they're very religious and dogmatic because internally they're still working through those things. And then you have other beings that maybe at a later stage of development have gone through all of that and are now working towards connecting to the unity and finally graduating out of the school that we have here on earth.
So in a sense, if we looked at how this physically manifests on our planet, we would consider different types of animals and different species, and to an extent, spiritually we’re all like different “species”. And that's not to compare superiority, since everybody's going through the same process, but we do have to understand that we could have vastly different understandings from someone that's sitting right next to us, even if we might look exactly the same. We're all going through the same thing and we're all equal because we're all the same fractal of the one unity. And we're all just one being experiencing all these different perspectives.
So, it's not to look at it from a place of spirit. It's just understanding that we don't have to necessarily be on the same wavelength as everyone around us, because that’s not what it's meant to be. We all have to live through all of these different experiences. We've all lived through these possibilities before and those that haven't yet will live through the same possibilities. We're all just basically each other's future and past lives; all lives are all right now, at one, in the present moment. Even other timelines and parallel realities are all happening right now in the present moment.
So, it's our own internal psychology, then, that determines where we are. If we have comprehension of the unity, then these beings can help us and they're actually obligated to help us because they go through their own hierarchical system. In their hierarchal system, the unity is above them so they're obligated to help you. They won't actually harm you or hold you down or be subservient. But at the same token, if you're at a level of comprehension that you fall into the hierarchy, then it is their job to order you around and control you. Because that's the stage of development you're at. It's not insidious. It's not evil. At a certain point there is no good or evil. It's just reality expressing itself through duality.
And if we have comprehension of that, then all the nefarious thoughts that we have and where they come from, is due to us still having egos at this layer of reality. And we see that a lot in the new age with these alien theorists; those who like to look at the Sumerian mythology. The older myths do talk about these beings a lot more in detail, but it seems like it was slowly removed from the religions as they went along. Probably because as society degenerated, we didn't need to have as much of this heavy cosmology because they're just trying to help people at a certain point get to a lower point which is just a natural progression. If no one's even understanding this part of the journey, then why do we include all this other stuff? It'll just confuse people.
But even if we go back, those other religions are not from the golden age where everybody was awakened. They were very old but they still had subjectivity in it. And why do we see these anxieties and these fears of the Elohim, the angels, these aliens, etc., trapping us and having us mine gold for them? Physically, maybe, it did manifest a bit like that, but that's besides the point. The fears probably come from another step on that journey through spirit.
So let's say we've gone through the octaves, the eight times, where we went up that hierarchy, and we've experienced every type of angel and cherubim, then archangel, then we graduated out of that. Then, we got a little bit of time playing as a cosmo creator of the Maya itself… And then we finally went through all those experiences and all those perspectives, and now we come back for the first time working towards the unity. But the thing is, is that our essence through all those times (now knowing that it was a “mistake” relatively) is imprinted with this fear of religion, this fear of these superior beings because they trapped us from going back to the unity. Well, then that's something that we have to work with.
And what you see a lot in the new age community is that we have a lot of people especially now with the energies of this new era. We have a lot of individuals who are awakening spontaneously, and what happens is they don't necessarily have a base in any work. This keeps them from having an attachment to the religious dogmatic views of the old era of the Piscean age, but it also makes them skeptical of even wanting to do the work. This is also a mistake, because what happens is if we look at the ego as an illusion, (or karma and dharma as an illusion as well), these things are actually at the highest level. They are illusions we created for ourselves to work with, but at the level that we are at, without doing any work. That illusion is still trapping us.
So, what happens is we may get to the path and think, “I'm just going to disidentify and then float away after because I didn't do any work,” but actually we still have to work through those egos. We created them for ourselves to work through them.
So, it seems that the next stage of development after this, and in our early days of working with the unity consciousness, we develop sort of like an inverse, mythomania or paranoia type of thing, where we think, “Why should I do anything, nothing matters,” etc. Like a kind of melancholy, numbness or despondence. And of course, there’s nothing wrong with that, because that's just another stage of the journey.
We go through that, live a few existences, and grow a little bit from it and go through all the anti-religious things. You look at master Krishnamurti; he clearly had a connection to the unity and was very anti-religion and organizations. That's probably a stage of this. These are all steps that we have to go through.
But, eventually Krishnamurti ended up pushing away the work, as conscious as he was. He did a little bit of work on the ego but didn't want to do the rest of the work. Eventually we get to the point with the comprehension of “Yes, everything is illusion, but relatively we're here to do something.” And then through balancing the new age with the occult/religion, we learn to be in the center.
Truthfully, even early on the path, we learn that we have to awaken through finding balance. We balance our energy in this physical body. We balance our psychology between our mind and our emotions. The balance stays the same. The work doesn't change. The reason why the teachings work at every level is because our understanding of them may change, and there's more subtle things that we have to balance, and we keep having to pull ourselves back to the center. We're always balancing something new and more subtle because as long as we're separated, we're not in the middle - in the center - in the present moment; in that unity.
So there's always something new to balance. And the one thing we stressed on in the past and also in the work itself, is that it can take getting to this through that second layer of conditioning; where you realize, it's not just one [layer] and it's not just going to finish anytime soon. We're really just getting started…
There's probably more than two as well. If we experience [a certain] level of awakening, all it means is this; there's something else we have to question. “I’m seeing things subjectively, I’m here. I'm seeing things differently. I'm not inside of everyone.” You're not inside of everyone.
So the biggest key is not just that “we should” do the work eventually, but it's also understanding how to not be complacent, and to always be questioning our surroundings. We must always question everything because the experience of walking the middle path, awakening the consciousness, and unplugging from the matrix, is that the awakening of the consciousness is a series of reality breaking events until you get back to unity. And as long as there's separation, you're not at unity.
You could transcend this physical body, transcend your higher self, and be the being at the center of the Milky Way galaxy in Sirius, but still at that level there's something that keeps you separate from the other galaxies. (There's other galaxies, so even though I can't fathom what it is that keeps those galaxies separated from themselves, is beyond my comprehension.) It's obviously a lot less separation, but you're getting to larger beings that are closer to being unified and the same.
The journey needs to not have complacency. We should never allow ourselves to think we've accomplished so much. Let’s say we've awakened certain psychic abilities and things of that nature, and then we declare ourselves a master. We open up a school and well, what are we really a master of?
Master Samael, (who is the one who brought out the last of the teachings that were still hermetic before the age of Aquarius), basically said that when one finishes all the work they could do in this solar system, it’s just the kindergarten for the true awakening that occurs internally and in the superior dimensions of space. And that should say it all. As soon as you start to comprehend even a little bit or know something, you realize how pitifully little you know. So like I said, it is a stage of development.
If we look at most of the high masters that we're aware of, like Jesus or Krishna, some people that actually incarnated the Christic energy, they never called themselves masters. And then we look at those who start institutions, those who have a physical mastery, and have done something at a grade of spirit, and perhaps not necessarily that awakened. It’s not a problem, but just something we need to be aware of. They're there to help us and they will help us if we understand our relationship to them.
It's the same as the ego. The ego is helpful to us if we understand how to work with it, integrate it and then use it to awaken ourselves. If we're not attached to it and not serving the ego, then the ego is a helpful tool to us. Same with the angels, the devas, etc. If we don't make ourselves subservient to them and instead understand that their role is to help us and answer to us, (“us” as the unity, not “us” as a person, as we're all one thing that's growing and it's their job to help us find our potential), then they're helpful to us. There's no problems and they're not harmful.
And then if we want to be subservient to them, there's religions in the ancient text, in Enūma Eliš, stating things like, “We created religion so that man will worship us and give us favor,” so it's right there.
Instructor I:
You said “complacency” and I wanted to add some detail on that because the first thing we tell ourselves whenever we hear any kind of guidance is, “Well that doesn't apply to me and I'm doing just all right.” So we will give some context to understand what is complacency. Complacency means that we have attachments, and we're so familiar with those attachments, that we don't realize they're attachments.
So maybe we are in a certain kind of spiritual school. We're learning some kind of meditation and the practices that we've chosen are helpful to us. And then we think that that's all there is or that we should strictly stay within the boundaries of the chosen practices because “outside is too scary”. And that we should trust these practices as the only thing that's going to help us because we’re not prepared to stand in “no man's land”. We’re not prepared to understand that there is no set formula or guarantee that if you follow ABC, then you shall be enlightened, then you shall ascend.
We can look at all of the students of all of the schools, systems and traditions, and see that of course not all of them are awakened, or become enlightened, or become resurrected masters, or awaken to unity consciousness. So obviously it's not by strict adherence to a system that we get this kind of guarantee. As soon as we become attached to a certain way of doing things and limit our perspective, then when source / the unity / the universe wants to bring us new guidance to help us expand our perspective, giving us that next step to get closer to alignment and move along in our journey, we won't have the capacity to see the messages that come to us because we'll be too attached to the thing that we're doing.
And often what you'll see is when you go to a particular school, they will tell you if you want to come to their school, you're not allowed to learn from anyone else. And to me that's a big red flag because of course there can't be a specific formula for the individual because everyone is unique. If we can do our own research and investigation and stay open without becoming attached to any of the steps or methods that we take then when the right thing for us comes along and it's something new we'll be ready to understand that. I think that's very important.
Instructor II:
Yeah, that is very important. And there's just a few things to always look out for. First of all, if we're following the herd mentality and we're following other people, we're probably not being conscious, and are being unconscious instead. The path in itself is isolation, and being falsely accused and all of these other things. That's every master ever.
Another thing to look at is that as soon as a master who rebrings the message (it's always the same message) passes away, within around 50 years the school then becomes dead. And the message used to come in different ways, in different “packaging”. It doesn't matter where it is. In the Hindi text with the Upanishads, people started worshiping the Atman. So the Buddha came along and had to call it the “Not Self” or the immortal self because people weren't worshiping the unity anymore. They were worshiping their higher self which is very similar to what we see in today's culture.
When Jesus came around, all of the religions like the Pharisees, etc, thought they knew everything but were actually not doing anything towards awakening the consciousness. We see it again and again and again. When Master Samuel stepped into Blavatsky's Theosophy society about 60 years after she died, it was the same thing. This school is dead now, we have to start a new school. He went to a bunch of other schools, which were all dead.
Some of them had an active master at the time, but not the avatar or the master that brings the message. Like we said earlier, the job of a lot of these public masters is to keep the construct going. It's not negative or positive, and not all of them are meant to help everybody reach the unity. There's only specific masters that are given the message and they only come every so often. And then again, usually the message falls off after they're not teaching anymore. Sometimes, some of their students understood it to get to a high enough level that they became masters, but not to the level that their spirit can understand the teaching properly.
If we look at Christianity, Jesus didn't start the church. Paul of Tarsus did, who wasn't even with Jesus. Paul Tarsus was a master, but not a master of a degree that could understand Jesus's teachings. We look at the books of the Bible and the texts that the Catholic Church took out, like Thomas and Mary Magdalene; those were his disciples that actually reached unity, and the ones that the Church kept were also masters. Everyone that worked with Jesus achieved mastery because he was such a high level teacher. But they achieved mastery at the level of their spirit and those are the ones that became part of the Church, not the ones that actually understood the nuances of the Inner Mind.
As mentioned earlier, the Central Mind is related to our human person. The Intermediate Mind is related to our higher self. It's all knowing in the terms of everything within this Maya [world of illusion]. It is not unconscious, but it's still not the Inner Mind which is the unity and is not colored in any way. It’s not subjective.
We'll probably talk about this a little bit more in our next episode, but these things move into our systems in society, manifesting physically. So in a sense, we have certain beings (that are responsible inside the construct), that are doing positive energy things and some doing dark energy things. They're in that layer of reality as cause and effect, according to the Causal plane that we've talked about, or just a little bit beyond the seventh dimension, depending on their degree. These beings are not negative or positive; they're pretty balanced energetically. For example, they don't have genders / are genderless. So, certain beings get certain missions. The ones that we see as angels or Pleiadians and the ones that we see as reptilians or demons are all really just following the guidelines [of the construct] and they're making sure things work. Therefore they’re not necessarily insidious or good, and they're all working together hand in hand to make reality work because everything has to be in balance.
Objectively, everything is in balance. Subjectively, we view it out of balance from our perspective but everything already is in balance. Every time something positive happens, somewhere else something negative happens. This is what these beings do from a high level. They make sure that the energy is always in balance and we see that they follow the rules.
We talked about karma and another important component; free will. At the most superior level, that too may be an illusion, but it's one of the rules of this thing [construct] that we're in. We have free will. We can't be forced to do something against it. That's black magic - people do that, but that's at a lower level; for example, people who are still in their “person”. No high level being that's attached to their divinity will force someone to do something because they don't want to take the karma for that. But what we'll see, and this’ll be a preview to what we're going into next week, is that there's two ways these beings could work.
If they’re a being of light, they could persuade us by giving us a lot of light and trying to coax us into seeing it for ourselves. Or if it's related to the negative aspect of our energy, we’ll see the aspect of coercion; they’ll pressure us or trigger our ego’s to get us to agree to do something on our own free will. To get us to subscribe to something without them actually forcing us. And once we subscribe to it, then the negative energy and the negative karma comes. They can do this because they're more conscious than us and can play on our unconscious deficiencies.
We can also look at this outside of a spiritual sense; look at all of the systems of control that we have on the planet. Whether it's politics, religion, corporations, etc; all of these things are related. The ones that run these systems are related to these high level beings. They’re just acting as instruments of karma because the world needs that.
More importantly, we could be immune to all these systems and all of these things by just understanding the rules of engagement and being conscious. And we'll point out examples of this next week. Today we talked about how these systems work in an internal sense, but next week we'll discuss how they work in an external sense. We’ll also discuss how if we're conscious and aware of what's going on, we can really be immune to all negative energy. It's not about being good or being bad, but about being in the middle and having an understanding of the reality that's going on. We can only be harmed by the illusion if we subscribe to that illusion psychologically. So that's an important thing to keep in mind.
Instructor I:
So, to summarize, how many wheels of automation are there that we know of?
Instructor II:
From my understanding, at least probably three or four.
Instructor I:
And what are they?
Instructor II:
I wouldn't know for sure, but based on my internal experiences for what we need for our path for practical purposes or as a person there's two... Like I discussed earlier in this episode, the first would be our desires. Desire and aversion. The human ego / the sensual mind / the lower intellect.
The second one would be related to that militant church mind that I brought up; the intermediate mind. It is related to procedural order / karma / formulas. It is the desire for there to be a certain procedure and for there to be order and everything to make sense. But because the unity is both order and chaos, it's beyond duality, so simply thinking that there has to be one way is still dualistic.
The only way to connect to the unity is to go beyond duality and to free ourselves from the dualistic mind because reality is actually multi-dimensional. So until we think multi-dimensionally, we can't objectively connect to objective reality. We can subjectively connect to it; we could get good at meditation and reach Samadhi, or take psychedelic drugs which will force us into a state of that, but, the problem is if we subjectively go into that objective reality, we don't actually comprehend it. We anthropomorphize it through our mind, and then think we went to the absolute. When we actually experience objective reality, it is very different; there's no form - it’s formless.
Instructor I:
So we could summarize by saying that there's more than one layer of automation, and it is good for those of us who have chosen to undertake the inner work that we begin with the first layer. We begin to work on ourselves, work to self-observe and to understand the psychological patterns that are keeping us trapped. And as we begin to transcend those, what we must look out for is that second layer where we may feel like wanting to submit to something higher and to make some being (like an angel, deva, a master, a school or a system) into our new god, our new thing that we subscribe to so that we can fall back into comfort and feel like we know everything.
The truth is that the path goes on forever. We have to be prepared to continually expand, open and accept what we are being brought to learn, even if it doesn't fit our old ideas and paradigms.
Instructor II:
Also there's the other pitfall we mentioned; that if you are blessed enough to have been born with an essence that has a higher level of consciousness, to understand that the path is not just pointless and to just run away. You may notice that everything is illusion, but we still are here for a reason and we are supposed to do the work. It's less painful from a certain extent if we let go of our false sense of self in our person. If we let go of this aspect, then it becomes easier to understand what it's for. So when certain emotions come around that maybe used to make you depressed, now you look at it as a good time to withdraw and meditate and free some more consciousness.
Your perception of what “negative” is, isn't negative anymore. We still have to work with the negative and positive forces. We can't just sit around and do nothing or become full of ourselves and think that we're God and just work up with the law of attraction to manifest things. Because if we do all that, we'll still tie ourselves to this reality because we keep that lower psychology of the “person” and then we go into the Abyss.
Instructor I:
So, do the work and stay on your toes. Stay open....
Is there anything more you want to say before we close out?
Instructor II:
Remember to keep your frequency high and maximize dharma for the collective and love and light. And I know we've been gone for a while, but we're actually back in the country, so we'll put out some more content more consistently.
Instructor I:
So, thank you for watching. Remember to be the light, be the change you want to see, and we'll see you next time.
