A Reflection on Love & Perceived Conflict

What is that difficulty you find within yourself? Has there been a disagreement or negativity sent your way? Is it a question of differing views?

Or is it really simply yourself…wavering between division or love? No matter what another does, it is always our choice to choose separation or unity.

“When I understand myself, I understand you, and out of that understanding comes love… because we lack that love… we escape into mass action which produces further confusion, misery.”
— Jiddu Krishnamurti

There was a story of a priest who let a beggar come into his church to spend the night and escape the cold. Later this beggar was caught with goods stolen from the temple and he was brought in, bound by handcuffs under the control of the police to verify that the items belonged to the church. The police wanted the priest to confirm the theft so that charges could be pressed.

“No, no,” the priest shook his head, “you are mistaken. He didn’t steal these items. I gave them to him.” The priest smiled lovingly, comprehending the level of consciousness of the man and returning his ignorant behaviour with love. It is a great love to be able to understand another when they are in disagreement with you.

In 1979, Master Samael Aun Weor said in Gran Manifiesto Gnóstico:

“Considering any division within the ranks of the army of world salvation to be absurd, since this harms the Great Work of the Father… Considering the monolithic unity of our Holy Universal Christian Gnostic Church and of the Gnostic Movement in general to be vital…”
Samael Aun Weor

He was specifically talking about people being divisive within the Gnostic Movement which something that doesn’t belong exclusively to anyone, but is a fire and empowerment that can be activated within the individual.

“The Universal Christian Gnostic Movement is non-sectarian. The Gnostic Movement is made up of the Army of World Salvation, of all spiritual schools, of all lodges, religions, and sects…”

Samael Aun Weor

So, when we face the test of fire, disagreements appear to arise. However, these are not disagreements if we do not see them as such. When we view from outside the duality and understand that we are all one, how can we disagree?

The truth is that we are one Being who has split into myriad perspectives, in order to interact with itself in this manner, to gain understanding about WHO and WHAT it is.

“Our relationships with each other can be vehicles for our unity and they can be vehicles for our entrapment.”

— Ram Dass

When we understand this, we comprehend that all perspectives are valid from their point of view. Someone coming towards us with another side to the equation is not a disagreement, but an opportunity for understanding, wisdom, love.

True love does not demand anyone to see or do things its way, but simply sees and knows, understands all, carries infinite compassion for all beings.

Even those who come to us to play the role of a provocateur—the antagonising one—they are also God—the Divine behind a mask—playing their role the Great Cosmic Drama where He tests us in our reactions, understanding, wisdom, choices. This role is not something to despise or reject. It is a needed part of reality and the role can be played by a very high being.

It is only the ego and identification with our stories and attachments that wants to judge and label things as black & white, good & bad. We are always tested where we are still stuck, where the mind is still clinging to the material.

When we open our eyes to see, we understand that all interactions—truly—are love. All of this is a beautiful cosmic play that runs through timelines, and we need each one to play their part.

When one Indian guru was going upstairs to visit a young man that invited him, the young man was frantically busy trying to tear the nudie-cutie posters he had plastered all over his wall, lest the guru should see them. Of course, the youth did not complete his task in time, and the guru caught him in the act. “Leave it,” the guru chuckled, “It’s just the Divine Mother.”

This guru’s perception was SO PURE that he could not see any lust within these forms. All he could perceive was simply cosmic creative love energy. This demonstrates how everyone who is working on a spiritual path—every single person—is trying and doing their best, the best they know how for now. Everyone is sincerely trying to help and intends to speak the truth.

This is the nature of reality itself. It couldn’t be said enough: ALL VIEWS WILL BE SUBJECTIVE, until we are with the Unity.

When we know this, we understand that for another to present a different perspective is simply another chance for us to observe and learn. When we understand why they hold this perspective, we gain wisdom. If we fight them to be the same as us, we miss our lesson. We miss that there is something for US to learn.

We need the challenge. We need the different views. This is how we all become each other’s students and teachers.

When Samael Aun Weor was asked to deliver the teachings to the public, every established mystery school went against him and was in disagreement. When Jesus came with his initiatic teachings, the scribes and Pharisees who were the religious establishment of the day said that he was from the Devil. The esoteric schools become old and established and then Source must send along something new and different, which the masses fight violently against.

“…The poor victims of infamy end up becoming flocks of little goats, fanatical, intolerant, and harmful… therefore we advise our disciples to carefully avoid dealings with those abyss schools. In truth, as things are, it is best not to follow anyone, it is extremely dangerous. Let us adore our ‘I Am.’”

Samael Aun Weor, Los Misterios Mayores

The herd mentality is something that becomes very palpable in every large spiritual group. Perhaps this is why at one point Master Samael Aun Weor called spiritual organization a kind of “slavery”. This book was originally published in 1950 in Spanish under the title La Revolución de Bel. However, this part of his original work was removed by the English publishers and their organisations. It can only be found in the original.

Q. Master, with your irrefutable teachings and such great wisdom, you will soon be able to become the leader and even the commander of many followers. Could it be that you want to become something like a new Pontiff or super-leader?

A. My friend, if your suspicion were true, then I would have already formed a new organization, which presupposes, as is indispensable, a leader and a board of directors, but you will see that none of this exists, because why would we want a new organization? What has the world gained from all the organizations it already has? Why add another one?

We already know all too well that each individual fits into an organization, something like an automatic piece within a social mechanism, something like an unconscious figure that always repeats the same automatic movements of the machine.

This is simply called slavery. Volitional castration. Prudishness that leads nowhere. Morbid mysticism that only engenders secret vices. So why do we want a new organization?

An organization is a machine that runs according to fixed and cold rules. As if life could be confined within the artificial norms established by human stupidity.

So why do we want a new organization? My friend, I don't follow anyone, nor do I want anyone to follow me. What I want is for each person to follow themselves. What I want is for each person to listen to their own Inner Self. For each person to become their own leader, their own boss.

That is why I have not come to found any new organization, nor do I charge money, nor do I give certificates, nor do I issue diplomas, patents, authorizations, etc. I do not accept praise or flattery, nor do I care about the contempt of the spiteful. I am no more because they praise me, nor less because they criticize me, because I am always who I am."

Of course, this doesn’t mean that anyone should or shouldn’t do anything different than what is right for them. It does mean that in all actions, we should seek to be led by the heart, our inner light and inner authority, whether others can understand and agree with us or not. It takes courage to surrender our insecurities and be true within.

Yes, it is a journey to become truer and truer to our Being, but it starts by exercising this authority and freedom rather than simply going with the wishes of everyone around us.

True love melts all separation.

“As we grow in our consciousness, there will be more compassion and more love, and then the barriers between people, between religions, between nations will begin to fall. Yes, we have to beat down the separateness.”

— Ram Dass

Spiritual bypassing and toxic positivity are what happens when we push for a kind of groupthink and conformity. We hide and bury so we do not see. We create an illusion of advancement, but eventually Source will send along something to challenge this. Truly, if something were objectively true, it wouldn’t need anyone to defend it. It wouldn’t care whether anyone believed it or not, it would be truth, disinterested in the subjective feelings that any human could have about it.

If we truly KNEW that truth in our bones, we couldn’t feel defensive or attacked. If we react, then maybe we are secretly afraid or unsure. Maybe we still fear the masses and opinions. Maybe we are afraid of losing the illusion of peace, not being strong enough to handle disruption.

Whatever the lesson, there is always one for us and that is the only one we need.

Again and again, we must remember, the role that each one plays for us is simply a beautiful expression of love. They act so we can see, see, see. If not them to play this role, another will come with the same message, the same interactions, even if it takes many lifetimes, until we see why we react this way.

To express a new view is not to be angry or to wish to dominate. Can we see that we are all one Unity, one light, playing with itself within myriad perspectives in the darkness? There is no conflict. This perception of conflict only comes from something within oneself, something that fears to hold multiple views and paradox.

It takes maturity to expand to a place where we can courageously sit with discomfort, with multiple views and not feel threatened or fear, but see that, still…here…LOVE IS HERE.

“Freedom and love go together. Love is not a reaction. If I love you because you love me, that is mere trade… To love is not to ask anything in return… such love alone can know freedom.”
— Jiddu Krishnamurti

Who perceives conflict or threat? We are all just mirrors. If we do not react, we can receive our own wisdom from every different expression. As we expand, we understand that all views are just another point of view as is our own. There is no right or wrong.

Love is everywhere we look. When you see the immense and beautiful love that is in every interaction and you feel it in your veins, this love could cause you to weep.

Master Michael shared a message that many others have been hearing from Source at this time: It is time to put aside our differences, time to love, time to cooperate. In spite of this message there will be people who do not yet understand this as they continue to create division. Why does this happen?

It happens because they think they understand harmony and cooperation, but they do not.

We need to know what UNITY means. We think we know, and yet we can be surprised. To cooperate doesn’t mean conformity, it means to have the maturity to be with different views, but, instead of reacting, to find the Unity and friendship within this, not requiring another to see things completely how we do in order for us to collaborate.

To be in harmony means that, instead of asking for everyone to be the same frequency, to see what beautiful music we can make when each resonates at their own unique frequency but in resonance. To make this music, we need to be okay to allow these different notes.

Do we know and realise that everyone is God? We all know nothing. No matter how much we know, compared to eternity, we still know nothing. Once we surrender to this, we can be okay, at peace with the journey. There is no need to convince nor coerce, nor to attempt to silence anyone.

We release ourselves from many laws, we come closer and closer the one law, TO BE. The interactions we have are all meant to be.

Can we see the cosmic giggle?

Can we see the beautiful dance?

You dance for me.

I dance for you.

We learn. We see.

We are nothing.

We are everything.

The learning goes on for eternity.

The moment we surrender, the moment we no longer cling to anything is the beginning of forever.

We don’t need sycophants. We need our friends of the path to challenge and test us. We need the wisdom that comes from every different perspective.

“It is love alone that leads to right action. What brings order in the world is to love and let love do what it will.”
— Jiddu Krishnamurti

“Love flows. Love doesn’t know boundaries. The mind creates boundaries. The mind creates the boundary of separate me and you. The heart just keeps embracing and opening out.”

— Ram Dass

Let everyone be free to practice and learn. All we can do is tell the truth and radiate love to humanity.

When you feel the Divine Love in your bones, you will laugh, you will be free. You can let another misunderstand you, accuse you and you can smile back with love.

Let’s play this game.

I play a role for you.

You play a role for me.

Our only job is to seek balance and to see.

May all beings be free, open, encompassing, and happy.

May all find peace.
